Throughout the entire series, most of the blasters are based on existing firearms. They didn't stop after the OT; it's an all Star Wars thing to do.

And a lot of the armor in the game has a Mandalorian vibe to it...at least one set I found looked like a bulked up Boba Fett armor.

ACTUALLY Star Wars happened a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, so the Bergmann 1896 semi-automatic pistol is more likely to be based off of The Mandalorian's blaster.
