Between 2012 and 2022, men's share in the voting body of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences decreased by 10 percentage points. Still, women accounted for one-third of all persons eligible to vote for the Oscars in 2022. Moreover, that same year, less than 30 percent of the nominees for non-acting categories at the Academy Awards were female.
