Descent into Fire is a portrait of the moon as it appeared on April 6th, 2022. By incorporating a long exposure of the dwindling sunset, the image is bisected by the warm tones of the sunlight with the cool tones of the night sky, a metaphor for what you see happening on the moon. The lit side of the moon is a balmy 224F (106C) while the darker side is a brisk -298F (-183C). This image was captured from my backyard in Florence, Arizona. 

Product Details

The size indicated is the "leaf size", which will include a 1/2" white border for handling and framing.

The signature will be applied directly to the image (see the preview for an example), as well as the edition number. Since these are produced at my home rather than a commercial print lab, they will arrive unframed in a rigid carboard mailer, for you to frame at your discretion. All prints are guaranteed for quality

Shipping and Fulfillment

Due to pandemic-related carrier delays, please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery. Be aware that most items ship much faster than this, but disruptions are hard to predict these days. 

Signed prints will be printed within a week from the day they are ordered (if I'm home, it will be same day), and hand signed 48 hours later when the ink is completely cured. Then it will be carefully packaged in an oversized rigid envelope for shipping.
